Diane Lane - Under the Tuscan Sun
It's pretty easy to confuse Under the Tuscan Sun and My House in Umbria; isn't it? I had to space them out on my Netflix list in order for them not to come at the same time. That just seemed to be too much. And while there are similarities, happily, I enjoyed them both.
This will be a spoiler to anyone who has not seen the film, but it was cool to see a romantic movie in which the main character doesn't end up with their soul mate in the end. The film is about being able to fall in love again after being hurt in love.
I see that there are full screen and widescreen versions of this DVD. Why, oh why, would you want to watch a film that uses Tuscany as a backdrop only to chop off the sides of the picture?
